Allan White has many years of experience (over 2 decades) in home inspection, engineering, and construction-related work. As previously stated, home inspection is an unregulated industry in Quebec and in Canada, any one can call themselves a “home inspector” or building inspector”. The yellow pages and internet are full of them. But what guarantee do you have as a consumer that your chosen inspector is competent to do the job? Does the inspector have serious formal training, years of field experience, or simply a 2 week mail-order course?
Allan has no problem showing his credentials. In fact, in order for him to have practised engineering in his earlier years required 2 years of CEGEP formation, 4 years of university, and 2 years apprenticeship during the course of a 6 ½ years of project management work in the construction industry. This represents over 12 years of higher education and on-the-job training over and above his focus on building inspection since 1992.
Allan White has become the true dean of home inspection.
